Yes, it’s true, this blog has been slowly withering and this post-less month only goes to confirm that. So, what has kept me so very busy recently that I can’t even write a blog entry? Quite simply work, and lots of it. This is a good thing, it means I earn money and don’t worry about the fact I’m not working. I’ve been on a massive ‘corporate’ project, still in progress, which has required me to churn out a lot of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Okay, crummy excuses over, i’ve about had enough of this blog. Well, more precisely, it’s not really got a direction, it’s just drifting. It’s going to change too, here’s the plan so far.
- mtcodex.net is not going away. It is moving from moveabletype to wordpress, I’m sick of comment spam.
- mtcodex.net will still have my portfolio and details. The blog side of it however will focus a little more on my life. To be honest, I’m not that interested in blogging about my life but as I’m moving around a lot more I know there are friends and family that may be.
- I am starting a brand spanking new website which will be all about web development best practices and training for ‘old-school’ web agencies.
- This new site will feature a section where I attempt to review every single book, pertinent to web development (excluding books on specific middleware or backend systems).
So, maybe after this month I’ll see a bit more of you all.
