Two Years Tuesday evening, 13 June 2006

Since yesterday two years of my life have been spent engaged to Megan. Hopefully there’s just one more to go and I can finally become a married man. Being so far away from one you love is both good and bad. I just want to take a short interlude from writing about websites and technology to let it be known that Megan’s optimism and character have helped keep me going the past two years of rapid change career wise and not quite so exciting studying for a degree from the Open University.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.
(Proverbs 13 v12)

I refuse to cry...*tears up anyway and is foiled*
I'm pleased to hear that you're approaching the idea of being a married man (and thus a man in legally bound bondage, some would argue) with such a positive outlook. I look forward to making you a married man, my love.
I'm also pleased to hear that I have been able to support you through the many changes that have occured the last two years. My hope and prayer (one of them, anyway) is that I may continue to be a pillar on which you can lean through life.
I'm looking very forward to your coming next week. Make the time go faster!
